Rivka Galchen

Rivka Galchen (Toronto, 1976) is a writer and journalist. He often publishes in The New Yorker, Harper’s, The London Review of Books, and The New York Times. She is the author of three books: Atmospheric Perturbations (Almadía, 2010), American Innovations (Farrar Strauss & Giroux, 2014) and Little Labors (New Directions, 2016) translated into Spanish as Pequeñas labores. She has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the Guggenheim, Rona Jaffe, the Berlin Prize and the William Saroyan International Prize for fiction. In 2010, she was included in The New Yorker's list of 20 writers under the age of 40. Galchen is also a doctor, a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
