Rodrigo Díaz Cruz

He is a professor-researcher in the Department of Anthropology at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana-Iztapala. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). His research interests are anthropology of ritual and symbolic; anthropology of performance and cultural studies of science and technology, on which he has published several articles and book chapters. His books include Archipelago rituals. Anthropological theories of ritual (Anthropos, Barcelona, 1999); editing the book Renato Rosaldo: essays in critical anthropology (Juan Pablos-UAM, 2006); co-publishing with Aurora Gonzalez book Natures, bodies, cultures. Metamorphosis and intersections (Juan Pablos-UAM, 2010). He has been visiting professor at El Colegio de Mexico, El Colegio de Michoacán, the University of California, Berkeley, the New School for Social Research in New York and the Autonomous University in Barcelona.
