Roger Magazine Nemhauser, At present his research interests revolve around the responses of rural communities to urban expansion, rethinking of ethnicity and ethnic categories in Mexico, notions and practices of the person and action in communities rural, Mexican urban identities through the love of football and Mexican anthropology from 1980 to the present. He teaches the courses Urban Anthropology, Reciprocity and Exchange, Critical Anthropology, and Ethnicity in the Postcolonial Context. He develops the research project "In search of the post-indigenous past: Anthropology and history of rural Mexico", is an associate researcher of the project "Anthropology of anthropology: Diagnosis and perspectives of anthropology in Mexico" and co-founder and co- coordinator of the Research Network on Sport, Culture and Society (http://www.ridcs.org/). He has received the Recognition for Extraordinary Work in the Development of High Quality Research at the Iberoamerican University of FICSAC, in 2006 and in 2010. Roger Magazine holds a PhD in Anthropology from The Johns Hopkins University.
