Santos Juliá

Santos Juliá (Ferrol, A Coruña, 1940 - Majadahonda, Madrid, 2019) has been one of the most prominent historians of contemporary Spain. Professor of Social History and Political Thought at the UNED and doctor in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, he was also a visiting professor and lecturer at several European and American universities, as well as a columnist for El País since 1982. He is a great connoisseur of the figure of Manuel Azaña was the editor of the Complete Works of the famous politician and received the National History Prize in 2005 thanks to the publication of Historias de las dos Españas.
