Sixto José Castro Rodríguez (Cangas del Narcea, Asturias, 1970), holds a doctorate in philosophy, theology bachelor degree in organ. He is Professor of Aesthetics and Theodicy in the department of philosophy at the University of Valladolid (Spain) and Visiting Professor at the University of Bayreuth (Germany). Has been a researcher at the universities of Houston and Temple (Philadelphia, USA). He has published, among other works, the fabric of time, (Salamanca, 2002), in theory, art, (Salamanca, 2005), aesthetics and hermeneutics knowledge in analog (Mexico, 2006) and Herder, reproach of Orbaneja, (2007), besides numerous philosophical articles in national and international journals. He has translated articles and books in English and German and currently translates to Herder, the Laocoon of Lessing. He is director of the journal Philosophical Studies published by the Institute of Philosophy of Valladolid.
