Theodore Lidz (1910-2001) was one of the most important figures in American psychiatry that occurred. Born in New York, studied at Columbia and trained in psychoanalysis with Harry Stack Sullivan and Frieda Fromm-Reichmann. Section Chief of Psychiatry Faculty of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University and a professor at Yale University, was known for his articles and books on the causes of schizophrenia and psychotherapy with patients affected by this disorder.
