Ulrich Hemel

Ulrich Hemel studied for a degree in Philosophy, Theology, Economics and Social Sciences at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome (Italy), where he graduated summa cum laude and did his doctorate in Theory of Pedagogy of Religion at the University of Regensburg (Germany). ). He worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and as CEO at Paul Hartmann AG. He is professor of Theology, founder and director of the Institute for Social Strategy, which is dedicated to research on globalized civil society, and president of the Institute of Philosophical Research in Hannover. Some of his best-known works are Theorie der Religionspädagogik (1983); Religionspädagogik, Kirche, Theologie (1986); Zeile religiöser Erzeihung (1988); Wert und Werte, Ethik für Manager (2005, Financial Times Deutschland Best Economic Book of the Year Award); and Die Wirtschaft ist für den Menschen da (2013).
