Valentí Puig Mas (Palma de Mallorca, April 14, 1949) is a Spanish journalist and writer in Catalan and Castilian language. Bachelor of Philosophy and Letters, he has published about thirty titles of all genres (story, poetry, literary criticism, novel and essay) and received some of the most prominent awards in Catalan literature. It resides in Barcelona and is married to the photographer Montserrat Garriga. He has been a member of the Council of Culture and Arts of Catalonia and the Board of Trustees of the Cervantes Institute. His clearest literary reference is Josep Pla. He has recognized the magisterium of the editor and writer, Carlos Pujol, who was his professor at the University.
