Vicente Romero Ramírez (Madrid, 1947) is one of the most recognized names in Spanish journalism. As a special envoy he has covered major international conflicts, from the Vietnam and Cambodian wars to the present day for refugees from Syria or secret CIA and Guantanamo prisons. Flying correspondent, first of the newspaper Pueblo and after TVE, has reported from a hundred countries. Author of more than 350 reports in Report Weekly and On cover, in addition to chronicles for Telediario, he has directed two series of documentaries and the program Buscamundos, and published a dozen books. Throughout his long career he has received numerous awards, such as the Ondas Internacional, the Victor de la Serna of the Madrid Press Association, the awards of the International Press Club, the New York Film Festival, the Cyril Rodríguez or the Bravo, as well as that of the Association for Human Rights of Spain, that of Unicef or the Gold Medal of the Spanish Red Cross.
