Victor-José Herrero Llorente has a doctorate in Classics and Professor of Latin, and has a long career as a translator, with awards as Rivadeneira of the Royal Spanish Academy and the Fray Luis de León. Among his translations are those of Livy, Virgil, Plautus and in particular, the three volumes of Lucan's Pharsalia. He has published numerous studies, articles and works of didactic or informative nature.
