Born in Jaén in 1962, is a Spanish philosopher of law.

He graduated in Law and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Barcelona. He is Professor of Philosophy of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Barcelona.

His research interests focus primarily on the political philosophy of the French and Scottish Enlightenment, with work on Sade, Locke and Adam Smith. He is also a member of the Bioethics and Law Observatory of the University of Barcelona.
