Wade Davis studied anthropology, biology and ethnobotany at the University of Harvard.
Among his published books include "The Serpent and the Rainbow", a story first hand about their experiences in Haiti while investigating the zombie phenomenon and its place in voodoo culture and "Nomads of the Dawn" (in collaboration with Ian MacKenzie and Shane Kennedy), "Shadows in the sun: Penan: the voice of the jungle of Borneo" (in collaboration with Thom Henley) and "Passage of Darkness". A native of British Columbia, currently works as an explorer-in-residence at the National Geographic Society.
He divides his time between Washington and fishing lodge in northern Canada.
