Youko Hiramatsu. Born in Okayama in 1958, she graduated from Tokyo Joshi University with a degree in sociology and works as a food and lifestyle editor. She has published numerous books and has won the prestigious Bunkamura des Deux Magots and the Kodansha Prize for Essays.
