Firmamento is an independent publishing imprint founded in April 2021 and dedicated to narrative and documentary fiction, the literary essay under any of its generic biases (including chronicle, biography and autobiography, travel book, diary and memoirs) and poetry in the humanistic tradition, with a special fondness for books that end up being deliberately out of date in relation to their time. The publisher formulates its proposals by bringing into dialogue in a single unitary collection two lines of interest: the recovery of Spanish and Latin American works and authors of indisputable talent whose creative task could have been overshadowed by extra-literary situations, thereby privileging texts previously neglected or ignored in the effort to contextualize them before a new community of readers, and the publication of new voices and unique books from the international contemporary scene, in carefully crafted editions aimed at the Spanish-speaking public.
