In Aphrodite and Eros she takes us; following in the footsteps of the cult and evocation of the beautiful goddess; an imaginary journey through an immense and varied scenario; which includes myths; Symbols; and images of fascinating appeal. From the dawn of the myth of the goddess to the present day: three millennia marked by the trail of Aphrodite. The study is configured in three well-defined sections: Myth and cult; Aphrodite and Eros in the literary tradition¿ and ¿Aphrodite and Eros in art¿. Among the Hellenic goddesses none can compare in beauty and seductive power to Aphrodite; goddess of love; of desire and sex; "Invincible in erotic combat"; according to Sappho. It is an ambitious study of a very long poetic and iconographic tradition; a challenge for a good philologist who demonstrates his expert handling of the classical tradition; at the same time that he has taken great care in a precise and attentive exposition to the nuances and echoes of mythical figures throughout centuries and eras.
