School is not a neutral or egalitarian space
Not only in terms of social classes, but also with respect to gender relations. Gender inequalities are naturalized and thus legitimized in that space. This work is a doctoral thesis in education in which the author set out to analyze the representations of the masculine and feminine genders in English books produced in Argentina within the framework of the legal transformations in matters of gender and sexualities carried out between 2006 and 2012.
In this sense, one of the central questions of the research was to investigate whether the books to learn English produced in our country have already begun to incorporate the gender perspective in the direction proposed by these laws.
