(1984) He has a degree in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a doctorate in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature from the same university and the Università di Urbino. He has carried out research stays at the University of Barcelona, the Université Paris-Diderot VII, the Humboldt Universität (Grimm Bibliothek), the Università di Bologna and The University of Nottingham. Currently, he is a full-time professor in the Department of Languages and Law of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He belongs to the National System of Researchers.
