Until 2007 Spanish economic growth was
based on a complex combination of tourism, finance and real estate expansion. Since that year, the bursting of the real estate-financial bubble has given way to a social landscape marked by debt, evictions and hardship of an important part of the population. This book specifically analyzes the problems caused by this economic model precisely in that area that should be constituted in fundamental law, housing.
For this, the history of housing policies in Spain is traced, these policies are compared with those of other European countries, the structural problems of the Spanish real estate park are analyzed and a series of concrete policy measures are proposed.
