The human body never lies. The human body constantly emits messages; messages that sometimes ratify and others contradict verbal expression. A new science called kinésica today makes it possible to interpret these messages, gestures and movements of the human body, which are the projection of the most hidden thoughts and desires. We all know that the arching of the eyebrows indicates surprise, that the interlaced hands indicate rest, that the constant movement of the feet indicates nervousness. But do we know how to interpret the "response" that a hand that rests on a back receives? Do we know how to interpret the gesticulation of our neighbor? Do we know when another person feels comfortable, uncomfortable, helpless or aggressive? The science of non-verbal communication, or kinésica, studies the language of the body. It can make us much more perceptive people; save us not a few mistakes.
