Eleven authors from different continents - who in turn have been migrants or have lived the experience closely - reflect on the physical and psychological journey they have made; the surprises and disappointments of being different in a new geography. Far from a journalistic voice of figures and policies, this anthology does the opposite: an approach to the very interior of the spaces, thoughts and feelings of those who have migrated. Throughout four chapters ("Crossing", "Arrival", "Wait", "Rooting"), the book narrates border crossings in different cultures.
