The Maharashi did not instruct his devotees to think about the problems, but to dissolve the thoughts, to free the mind of irrelevant worries, to widen the individuality to the Infinite. That teaching, often, consisted in a mere irradiation from the silence. All those who knew him coincide in this: his mere presence filled his visitors with energy. But there was also an oral and written teaching, whose essence we transcribe in this book, which can be considered as a classic of Hindu mysticism and mysticism of all times.
