Analysis of the political, health and social response to the pandemic, what changes will emerge after it and what we have to learn as a society and institutionally. Synopsis: Viruses do not understand borders or social classes. We have heard this phrase as a magical adventure in which viruses appear from a neutral space, arrive, infect and disappear. It is false: epidemics start from specific social and political contexts and understanding the political, economic, health and social substrate is key to analyzing how they affect. The plague, AIDS, Ebola or the current COVID-19 emerged from certain contexts, impacted certain social groups differently and transformed societies. It is time to ask: who is more exposed to getting sick during an epidemic? Who is most vulnerable to its social consequences? What policy responses do we have to act in the face of an epidemic crisis? What health do we want to face it?
