In the United fences, sovereignty in decline, Wendy Brown reflects on the proliferation of walls in an era which have intensified transnational and global connectivity powers. According to Brown, the new walls mark the boundaries, existing or desired, of nation states, but fail to become fortresses against invading armies and even, in demonstrations of national sovereignty. Rather, devote the same border and prevent corruption wishing represent theatrically, a sovereignty that has entered an irreversible crisis. The distinction between interior and exterior in which the concept of sovereignty is based is increasingly unsustainable.
