Currently, the journalistic profession seems to be experiencing an unprecedented crisis that ranges from the questioning of journalism itself to the growing difficulty of its production conditions. How is this situation studied from the Academy? Given the dispersion of works and the diversity of their problems to analyze and understand the difficulties of being a journalist today, this collective book provides a broad overview of current literature in Mexico from two perspectives, mainly. The first covers the coercion that journalists experience, materially or symbolically (precariousness, gender inequality, sensationalism). The second analyzes some transformations such as "literatureization" or the legitimization of sports or wine journalism from different theoretical frameworks.
