This fifth volume of filiation. pagan culture, religion of Israel, origins of Christianity contains the Proceedings of the Study Days "The descent into the origins of Christian reflection" held in 2011 and 2012 at the Faculty of Christian Literature and Classical St. Justin (UESD, Madrid ).

Under the heading "pagan Culture", a study dates back to ancient Egypt to try to divine filiation of the Egyptian king in the third millennium B.C. Greek literature is represented with the analysis of the categories of filiation present at the funeral epigraphy, and the presence of this concept in the Greek funeral speeches. Christian apologetics literature is an opportunity to show why the Christian apologists refer to the classic theogonies in his polemic against paganism. In addition, two work related Plutarco is dedicated to ethical and political value given to the children of the gods and the concept of God as father and architect.

In the section devoted to "Religion of Israel", an exegetical study of Isaiah 7:14 is presented.
