This anthology collects more than two hundred haikus according to the traditional Japanese model, grouped according to the time of year that motivated them, suggested by their respective kigos or seasonal words. In turn, within each of these, the haikus are grouped into sections corresponding to their authors, firstly the great ones: Bashoo, Buson, Issa, Shiki, and then those written by various authors. Thus, a rich and varied panorama of classic Japanese haiku is achieved, that short stanza that, based on the traditional lyrics of his country, has conquered the hearts of readers and poets throughout the world.
