This book is the result of the work of a multidisciplinary research group which, in collaboration with doctors, psychologists and doctors in medical sciences, focused on the study of professional diseases of the musician and in particular of the pianist to elaborate an ergonomics guide that helps Understand these problems and how to solve them.
In our country there is little information - provided by pianists, teachers and doctors - regarding the musculoskeletal problems that afflict musicians, so this proposal would help to better understand these professional conditions.
The biomechanics, musical analysis and collaborative pianist guides provided here provide the pianists with an easy and understandable support in their interpretive and teaching work for a better transmission of knowledge.
The authors start from the premise that just as the theoretical-artistic formation of a pianist is fundamental for the knowledge and interpretation of the works, the musical analysis allows an adequate use of the hands and therefore the optimum coordination of the mind and the fingers.
