Manek was a young sentinel with a powerful sight. I could distinguish raindrops in a storm leagues away, recognize the face of a man more than a thousand strides, or see in the desert a woman in detail in the distance, a woman that only he was able to see, and that for every human being who enjoys a normal view meant only a character of legend.
