The reader of this book will find that the perspective of analogical hermeneutics fulfills a critical function by introducing circumstance and difference where there was only uniformity with the social order; that analogical rationality constitutes an alternative to the uniform univocism that prevails in Western universalist culture and that baroque analogy allows the cultural identity of Latin America to be redefined as a process of change and miscegenation. It is even discovered that it is possible to conceive the city as a space of pluralism.
