Under the title of Greek wisdom, Giorgio Colli thoroughly collected the fundamental texts of what has been called "presocratic philosophy", that is, the documents on which Western thought and culture has developed.
Each of the original Greek texts is accompanied by a direct translation of the original, of a remarkable critical apparatus and a comment on which the current state of research on the document is indicated, the simple loci and other passages related to The fragment, and references and appointments are included to clarify the text, as well as various bibliographic indications, important well for translation, either for interpretation. Finally, overcoming the mere analytical work on each passage, we try to establish some generic interpretation lines, both with respect to philosophical or literary traditions, and in relation to the different doctrinal content.
