The series of drawings and paintings that Robert Delaunay (1885-1941) dedicated over three decades to the Eiffel Tower constitute one of the landmarks of his work. Delaunay wanted to associate his poet friends with this series, inviting them to compose texts inspired by the Tower. This book thus brings together the images created by the painter and the poems by Blaise Cendrars, Guillaume Apollinaire, Vicente Huidobro, Louis Aragon, André Breton, René Crevel, Jean Arp, Philippe Soupault and Tristan Tzara.
