Between May and November 2006, a political-social mobilization took place in Oaxaca, Mexico, that confronted organized society with the local and federal government, evidencing the order of domination, injustices, grievances and humiliations that prevailed in the state. In this context, the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca (APPO) emerged, which managed to bring together the various social actors willing to mobilize to put a stop to the situation.
