Between May and November 2006, a political-social mobilization took place in Oaxaca, Mexico, that confronted organized society with the local and federal government, evidencing the order of domination, injustices, grievances and humiliations that prevailed in the state. In this context, the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca (APPO) emerged, which managed to bring together the various social actors willing to mobilize to put a stop to the situation. Made up mostly of teachers from Section 22 of the Education Workers Union, the APPO received the support of various social organizations, civil organizations, women's groups, sectors of the Church, businessmen, youth groups, artists and homeless people. no political flag but adhered to the cause of the movement. This book is a review of the teaching movement in Oaxaca from the perspective of the multiple social and political actors who participated and confronted each other. In this way, the memories of a people are recovered, what is silenced by official history is named, and the individual fears and pains of daily experiences are expressed. The past is resignified in the present.
