I am Cuba presents a selection of the best film posters produced in Cuba by and for the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry between the 1950s and 1980s. This title contains more than 300 posters in which the typography and the wide range of Colors achieve a unique visual impact, on the one hand they are authentic jewels of graphic design, they transcend commercial conventions. Its varied concepts and forms range from the decorative to the symbolic, from the comic to the serious, from the expressive to the surreal. On the other hand, they reflect a particular state of mind, since they are posters after the Cuban Revolution of 1959, that is, they convey a strong sense of individual freedom and the revolutionary youthful enthusiasm, aesthetic rather than political.
