Descartes himself says in its Rules for the Direction of the spirit that "... at all times have been great men who have tried to find a fifth grade to reach the wisdom ...", the author's task was, in this case, expose the principles of men such as those that marked the development of the history of ideas. This is a selection of major texts of twentieth-century philosophers such as Descartes, Pascal, Spinoza, Malebranche, Leibnitz, Hume, Kant and Hegel. This anthology, besides being a great way to enter the direct knowledge of classical thought, not detract from the series of Thomistic Philosophy course, highly praised by critics.
