This is the fourth volume of the Zen series, a unique work in our language both for its comprehensiveness and the uniqueness of its approach.

In Zen 4. The Office of Living, Alberto Silva questions and meditates on meditative practice (zazen), understanding it as an authentic 'teacher of life' that manifests itself in personal habit, building paths suitable for each person. At the same time, the zazen we practice uses a thousand different words and ways, all aimed at elucidating the same and unique experience.

Given this multiple perspective, how should we understand zazen? The practice of Zen generates exchanges and a search for 'new words', which must be 'living words' (according to the Chinese and Japanese referents). Likewise, Zen 4. The Office of Living seeks this dialogue, initiating a discussion of opinions and exchanges between scholars and practitioners in order to think and express a contemplative event that is unique and at the same time shared.
