Rafael Cansinos Assens (Sevilla, 1883 - Madrid, 1964) belongs to the list of the "rare" in Spanish literature. Champion of the avant-garde and one of the main translators of the twentieth century, cultivated a personal work of difficult classification. His critical work and memoirs have made him a character in a major event. In another of its aspects, Cansinos, descendant of an old Sephardic family, not only vindicated the memory of their ancestors, much of his work revolves around Judaism and study.
