This volume is the result of work that have maintained the compilers at the teams in their respective chairs of philosophy at the universities of Barcelona (Manuel Cruz) and Buenos Aires (Daniel Brauer), but also of years of collaboration between the two professorships. On the other hand, shows some of the main papers (reworked for this book) that took place in the International Congress in Buenos Aires in October 2000. The result can offer a broad overview of the main lines of research and issues and problems surrounding the historical knowledge and assumptions.
