Ethics is the answer to a question that calls into question the moral order. What makes us human is not obedience to a universal code and all but radical recognition of the vulnerability of our condition and inability to escape the demands of another's pain._x000D_

There is no ethics because we know what the "good", but because we have experienced and witnessed the experience of evil. There is no ethics because you meet their "duty", but because our response has been adequate to suffering. There is no ethics because we are "worthy" because we have dignity, but because we are sensitive to the unworthy, the subhumans, who are not people._x000D_

Ethics, then, unlike morality, is the compassionate response to "the wounded" who challenge us in different paths our lives when we came down from "Jerusalem to Jericho."
