Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (IPA: [roli'ɬaɬa]) (Mvezo, Union of South Africa, July 18, 1918 - Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, December 5, 2013), 1 2 was a lawyer, politician, leader of the National Congress African (CNA) and commander of Umkhonto we Sizwe guerrilla organization (MK) or "Spear of the Nation '.3 in the words of van Engeland and Rudolph (2007), a political terrorist happened to become president of South Africa (1994 - 1999).
