The Tractatus de erroribus philosophorum is a text that has been attributed to Egidio Romano, but whose authorship is unclear today. The author establishes what opinions various philosophers opposed to Christian truth. Philosophers who are selected Aristotle, Averroes, Avicenna, al-Ghazali, and Maimonides Alkindi, performing a compilation of the differences, he said, are primarily concerned with the doctrines reported on the 1270 conviction made by Bishop Stephen Tempier. After exposing the reprehensible thesis makes a concise summary of all of them. This work provides the first in the Christian world sources of errors held by some of his contemporaries.
