"The stone material has always been regarded as a timeless material, but is likely to be altered like any other material that forms the cultural property. Throughout this manual the different aspects that influence the preventive conservation of stone sculpture are addressed, with reference to climatic factors, handling, assembly and exposure.
We propose here different conservation recommendations, from a practical but technically, to bring the different professionals involved in the custody of the assets of cultural interest to the complex world of preventive maintenance on the exhibits, not to mention that these recommendations should be interpreted as such and not as absolute truths, as the indispensable premise for a good conservation is the study of the needs of the works to conserve and outline a specific plan for them.
