Jaroslav Seifert (Prague, September 23, 1901 - Prague, January 10, 1986) was a Czech poet and journalist. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1984 for a poetic production which, endowed with great freshness, sensuality and varied imagination, provides a liberated image of the indomitable spirit and the versatility of man.
