Vicente Serrano (Valladolid, 1959) graduated in law from the University of Valladolid, and later graduated and PhD in philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. For a while, he made work as an ex officio lawyer with teaching in different spheres and universities. He has combined his specialization in classical German philosophy with a constant dedication to moral philosophy. He is a translator and editor of authors such as Fichte, Schelling, Hegel, Nietzsche and Jacobi. Author of specialized articles, academic monographs and publisher of collective works, he has published, among other works, the essays Nihilismo y modernidad (2004) and Soñando monstruos (2010). He has been director of the Instituto Cervantes in Munich and is currently a professor at the Universidad Austral de Chile.
