Zsigmond Móricz (Tiszacsécse, Austro-Hungarian Empire, 1879 - Budapest, 1942) was a writer and journalist. His work portrays in a magisterial way the social conflicts of Hungary of the early twentieth century and consecrated it as a pillar of the critical realism of the Hungarian letters.
