Rodolfo Andaur was born in Iquique in the north of Chile. He studied journalism and holds an MA in Art History. He has worked as contemporary art curator of the called Northern Axis of South America promoting and diffusing Chilean artistic practices towards Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru. Furthermore Rodolfo Andaur has taken part in curatorial teams that focus on critical analysis and reflection about contemporary art in Chile: Chile Triennial (2009), Transcripcion_Local (2010-11) and #DepresionesIntermedias (2015). Not only did those exhibitions produce knowledge through the medium of contemporary art, but they have also contributed to the dissemination of contemporary Chilean art on an international level. With this background was prized by FNDR for his contribution to regional cultural management in 2011. This situation has led him to participate in curatorial residencies in Brasil, Germany, México, South Korea and United States. Rodolfo also directed and edited the Sonares magazine and is currently a columnist in several art magazines in Latinoamerica.
