Miguel Gallardo

Miguel Gallardo (Lleida, 1955) lives and works in Barcelona. He regularly collaborates as an illustrator in La Vanguardia and the weekly Ahora, as well as for international media such as The New Yorker. He has won three awards at the Barcelona International Comic Fair - the last of which was the Grand Prix of the Salon granted in May 2014 in recognition of his career - and a Serra d'Or. He is one of the creators of Makoki and other characters such as Perico Carambola and Perro Nick. He has also published Un largo silencio, a graphic novel about the civil war. In 2008 he received the National Première de Catalunya for María y yo, which has already been translated into eight languages; in 2015 the second part appears, María turns 20 years old. There must be something else, but Miguel Gallardo does not remember and at this moment he does not know where he has put the corresponding notebook, which must be with the glasses and the rubber band.
