Wilhelm G. Jacobs (1935, Troisdorf, Germany) is a philosopher specializing in German idealism. He has worked as a teacher at the University of Munich, where he began teaching in 1971. In 1968 he became a member, becoming president of the Commission-Schelling of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, which is responsible for the historical edition -criticism of the works of Schelling, of which he is co-editor. He is a co-founder and currently the honorary president of the Schelling International Society. He has also been co-founder of the German Society for Philosophy and the Japanese Society Schelling.
