This manual offers a panoramic view of the translation practice. Through a deductive approach, which goes from the most general to the most particular, it proposes a journey that begins in the most theoretical aspects related to philosophy and language; it goes through the specific characteristics of the two working languages, as well as the main lines of theoretical reflection on translation; and it ends in a systematization of the problems with which the translator is constantly confronted, while some solutions are presented in a field in which exceptions abound.
