Enrique González bets on a new way of understanding the Gospel based on him and not on a previous philosophical tradition that disturbs and hinders his message.

The title of this book invites to make a new Christian philosophy, different from the old one: this, instead of leaving the Gospel to understand it with appropriate philosophical concepts, forces it to adapt to previous and foreign categories that disturb the revealed message because they reify man and, therefore, God. This has significantly damaged theology itself, which always demands new and more apt concepts from philosophy. But since they are not proposed, he continues to use the old ones inertially, and he even seems to affirm - resigned - that, as there are no others, he must continue building on Scholasticism, considered the only Christian philosophy because he knows no other.

Today we are asked to perform the reverse task: try to understand the Gospel with more appropriate categories, starting from it and not from a previous philosophical tradition that has gravitated excessively on it. This urgent company calls for the renewal of our old concepts, obsolete or inappropriate in the modern and contemporary world, so different from the old and medieval.
