Maco was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1987. Despite her youth, she is already one of the fundamental cartoonists of Latin America. His work has managed to "build" a very unique tradition, in which Hergé, Winsor McCay and Chris Ware coexist; Guido Crepax and Viuti; Martin Handford and Jim Woodring. Aloha, his first book, has been received with real enthusiasm by Argentine and Uruguayan critics.
